TKP Alumni Creed

The beginning…

With law books, cases, and journals not enough to contain,
Our natural desire to be free, like the fresh blowing wind,
Our driven ambition to rise above where we were then,
Desiring to be with other neophytes in law we could blend,
We freely joined an exclusive fraternal order of gentlemen,
Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity it was aptly called and named.

We vow to keep alive the bonds as brothers in TKP.

Now we are the alumni of the Tau Kappa Law Fraternity,
Living a life far and beyond the shores we used to be,
Engaging in careers and occupations we chose to be,
Or predestined circumstances lead us to want to be,
And in varying degrees of status in the community,
We vow to keep alive the bonds as brothers in TKP.

We build, nurture, and stand for family solidarity.

We are the alumni of the Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity,
Gone are the antics we used to have in years gone away,
Lost were the seeming innocence we used to hide being silly,
We have voluntarily assumed responsibilities of job and family,
Offering honor and praise to loved ones who are with us daily
We build, nurture, and stand for family solidarity.

We love the land we now call our home and country.

We are the alumni of the Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity,
Living free in a country far from where we used to be,
Believing and adhering to its principles of democracy,
Becoming partners of peoples of different ethnicity,
Blending with all others in the spirit of order and unity,
For we love the land we now call our home and country.

We are and will always be proud of our Filipino identity.

We are the alumni of the Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity,
Born in the Philippines, once our home and native country,
Raised in culture and traditions no other country has any,
Belonging to a distinct race that is a combination of so many,
Our skin is tan all year regardless and come what may,
We are and will always be proud of our Filipino identity.

We shall strive to live with honor and dignity.

We are the alumni of the Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity,
Blessed by Divine Providence with boundless opportunity
In the welcoming land, we now call our home and country,
Enriched by the culture and traditions from where we used to be,
With wife, children, and relatives who support any which way,
Precious reasons we shall strive to live with honor and dignity.

We wish that those who come after us would make the TKP flame to stay.

We are the alumni of the Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity,
We have not met many of those who similarly went our way,
And more will embrace the TKP in many years from today,
More fraternal brothers will come to the shores we live in today,
We will be the alumni sworn to provide some light along the way,
We wish that those who come after us would make the flame to stay.

The pledge …

All these shall be the tenets we shall strive to live by as alumni of TKP
And proud members of the Tau Kappa Phi Law Fraternity Alumni Society
Of fraternal brothers in Canada and the USA, now, today, and everyday.

This we pledge to honor now, today, and any other day from today.
